Brief: In pairs create a new music tv channel. Give it a name, a musical ethos and brand identity. To include a logo, business card and a3 poster.

I am working with Josh Carpenter.

Firstly we brainstormed some idea's to consider which route we could follow for our tv channel.
The ideas ranged from 50's rock and roll and brit pop to unsigned artists and london underground buskers.
We decided to develop the london underground buskers idea and began looking at things associated with the underground:
The ticket man
Tracks
Torn on the Platform
Busking
On the line
Tube
Blue, Red, White (underground logo)
The ten colours of the different tube lines
MTG - Mind The Gap (filling the gap in the music market)

We decided to call our Tv Channel MTG (Mind the Gap).
Next we looked into some poster ideas - we decided to go to the underground and take some photos of the mind the gap writing on the platform as the train went past - to get a blurred image and to take some photos of buskers etc. These photographs helped us to develop the imagery we wanted to present for the brand identity.
We also played around with some logo ideas - using the old underground logo shapes, and the colours of the tube lines. We also looked into the idea of each tube line colour representing a different genre of music.
Below are a selection of ideas we've been working on. We started off with the photograph's - then after discussing the project with Peter Chadwick - we decided we needed to make it more fun and contemporary. The images below are not final - we are still developing them to a more professional standard.
